The Chicago Blackhawks took i guess what you can call an interesting approach to the 2022 NHL draft. They entered yesterday with no first round picks and ended the night with 3 of them. The Blackhawks traded away both young stars Alex Debrincat and Kirby Dach to Eastern conference teams and even acquired a new goalie from the Maple Leafs.
After trading these 2 young stars, Blackhawks General Manager stated that he had no intentions of asking his players with no movements clauses to waive them. The players that were meant by this was Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Seth Jones.
Today it was reported by David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period that Patrick Kane has intentions of meeting with Kyle Davidson.
Can confirm Chicago, Patrick Kane and his agent will discuss Kane's future with the organization, again, in the very near future.
At the deadline Kane was connected to both the Rangers and Avalanche and if he requests a trade, it will be interesting to see what team Kane will get moved to, as he still has a pretty large contract for a team to fit under the cap.
