Tage Thompson was Traded from St. Louis Blues with Patrik Berglund, Vladimir Sobotka, round 1 pick in the 2019 draft (Ryan Johnson) and round 2 pick in the 2021 draft (Benjamin Roger) to Buffalo Sabres for Ryan O'Reilly back on July 1st 2018.
It took a few years for him to really come into his own, but since last season where he broke out scoring 38 goals in 78 games, he has been on absolute fire.
Going into tonights game he had 16 goals and 34 points in 25 games, and now has scored 4 goals and 1 assist in just the first period tonight.
His 4 goals in a single period ties him for an NHL record with 17 other players.
