The Boston Bruins suffered a horrific loss to the Winnipeg Jets the other night, and now the most embarrassing moment of it all has just been exposed.

It was a blowout on Tuesday night as the Winnipeg Jets dominated the Boston Bruins, 8-1. Down already 6-1 to the Jets, Bruins forward Trent Frederic tried to inject some life into his team with a challenge to David Gustafsson.

That effort was over in one punch thanks to David Gustafsson. The tensions rose and the fights kept on coming.

Marc Kastelic and Logan Stanley dropped the gloves immediately following the Frederic-Gustafsson scrap and both were assessed game misconducts.

Moments later, Nikita Zadorov was dropping the gloves with Adam Lowry following the next faceoff.

It wasn't all contained on the ice, either, as heated exchanges spilled over behind the benches with interim Jets coach Scott Arniel yelling in the direction of the Bruins bench.

Bruins interim head coach Joe Sacco reacted initially like he was taking it personally, "Who, me?", when Scott Arniel pointed in his direction. Arniel indicated afterward he was referring to assistant coach Chris Kelly and Joe Sacco backed off.

Fans jumped all over Sacco for not being emotional enough during the lopsided loss, perhaps the most embarrassing aspect of the night.

Following the game, Sacco denied there was much of anything substantial between the benches, but the damage was done as far as some fans were concerned.

«No, not that I know of,» Sacco told reporters

That said, the Bruins will get another crack at the Jets on January 30, and by that time, hopes of the Bruins' fans will most likely have rebounded.

Should Joe Sacco have done more to be engaged in the chaos?
