Tonight Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals will commence and heading into the game there is yet another controversy involving the referees for tonight's game.

Throughout the Stanley Cup Finals there continues to be referees who tend to call games that end in favor of one team or another. Tonight it looks as though the Edmonton Oilers might have the advantage. The Oilers are 4-2 when referee Chris Rooney is involved.
Refs announced for Game 6.

The Edmonton Oilers are 3-3 this postseason with Hebert; the Florida Panthers are 3-2.

Edmonton has gone 4-2 with Rooney this postseason; Florida is 2-3.

In this case, there will also be one referee who has an even split in Jean Hebert. While these differences in record for the referees are not drastic enough to cause alarm it will be interesting to see if the trend continues.
The Oilers find themselves on the ropes once again looking to force a Game 7. In the process, Connor McDavid continues his pursuit of Wayne Gretzky for the all-time single playoff scoring record.
With just a few minutes before puck drop it will be fun to see how things play out and whether or not the referees have a major impact on the outcome of tonight's contest.
