Insider Elliotte Friedman has shared the framework for a trade involving Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas and the Vancouver Canucks.
The Vancouver Canucks have been linked to Carolina Hurricanes forward Martin Necas for a bit now and it looks like a trade could be brewing. NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has shared the outline for a trade between the Hurricanes and the Canucks involving the forward.
Elliotte Friedman and the #Canucks trying to get Martin Necas: It is a harder deal to do with no Pettersson in deal like last time, The Canes will want top prospects, Hronek won't do it. It is a hard deal to do.
Dhaliwal: «What are you hearing on the Canucks and Necas?»
Friedman: «The ask is big, I don't think Hronek is going to get it done. I think they're going to need to attach some of their top prospects. The talks are not the same as they were around the deadline.»
The Canucks have a few top prospects, namely Jonatan Lekkerimaki and Tom Willander, that they could move out for the Hurricanes forward.
Only time will tell if the Canucks can reach a deal with the Hurricanes involving Necas but the framework for the deal looks quite concrete.
