Jordan Dumais' team gives an update on his return from suspension
Columbus Blue Jackets forward prospect Jordan Dumais was recently suspended by the QMJHL for off-ice conduct. Today his suspension ended and the Halifax Mooseheads gave an update about his return to play.
After being arrested for a DUI at the end of the regular season Jordan Dumais was suspended. He was given a five-game suspension by the Halifax Mooseheads which would allow him to return for the first game of the QMJHL playoffs.
Today the Halifax Mooseheads provided an update on Jordan Dumais and confirmed he would not be returning. The surprising news comes after he apparently re-aggravated an injury that kept him out for much of the beginning of the year.
Jordan Dumais will not be in the lineup tonight after re-aggravating his lower body injury this week. The timetable for his return remains uncertain. #GoMooseGo
Earlier this year Jordan Dumais had hip surgery as well as a sports hernia surgery which led him to miss a significant portion of the season. He returned and lit the league on fire before his suspension. Now his future both in the QMJHL and professional hockey remains uncertain due to his conduct and injury history.
As of now, there is no update on a timetable for his return. Some fans even think that this could be a tactic for Jordan Dumais to avoid criticism for his actions.
