Today the Anaheim Ducks have been hit with unfortunate injury luck as star forward Trevor Zegras went down in a scary incident after taking a puck off of the face.
With the Anaheim Ducks ramping up for the NHL season, they held practice this afternoon. Unfortunately for the Ducks, it ended in tragedy after Trevor Zegras was struck with a puck to the face.
Trevor Zegras was immediately surrounded by several teammates including Mason McTavish and Troy Terry. With this injury, Trevor Zegras' status for the beginning of the NHL season is up in the air. As of now, an official prognosis has not been given by the Anaheim Ducks. Hopefully, for the Ducks, Trevor Zegras will be back on the ice soon as he has been impressive throughout training camp.
While Trevor Zegras will almost certainly miss the Anaheim Ducks preseason opener against the San Jose Sharks his long-term prognosis is unknown. Once more updates are given on Trevor Zegras and his health heading into the NHL season we will continue to pass along the latest information.
