A new interview has surfaced with Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak where he revealed his biggest regret from the 2024 NHL season.
The Boston Bruins have been one of the most consistent teams in the NHL for over a decade now. Despite that consistency, they have only reached the Stanley Cup Finals twice since 2010. Last season their Stanley Cup dreams were dashed by the Florida Panthers who would eventually go on to win the championship.
After a frustrating offseason, the Boston Bruins are starting to come back for their redemption tour. In a new segment of Elliotte Friedman's 32 Thoughts Podcast, David Pastrnak revealed what his biggest regret is from last season.
David Pastrnak reveals his biggest regret and accomplishment of 2023-24
Elliotte Friedman released several quotes from David Pastrnak talking about the 2023-24 NHL season. The first discussed David Pastrnak's disappointment and frustration about losing to the Florida Panthers and not getting an opportunity to play them in a Game 7.
Pastrnak has one regret from last season: that the Bruins did not get to a «one-shot Game 7» against Florida, but admitted the Panthers were deeper and better than Boston.
At the same time, David Pastrnak acknowledged that many people didn't believe they would even make it that far. He commends his team for being able to make it past the Toronto Maple Leafs.
We proved a lot of people wrong, last year we were not even supposed to make the playoffs. We beat a better team on paper (Toronto).
Now with the NHL season rapidly approaching David Pastrnak and the Boston Bruins will be looking for revenge against the Florida Panthers in pursuit of their first Stanley Cup since 2011.
