It's no secret that the Calgary Flames are looking at their options to trade their number one goalie, Jacob Markstrom, this summer. However, it won't be easy to get it done.
The 34-year-old goalie has a no-move clause, meaning he'll have to waive it before his team can trade him. In addition, the Flames' asking price has been revealed by a league executive and it could turn off a few teams from going after him.
The New Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Ottawa Senators all showed interest in Markstrom. Everything is set for a bidding war between them for the Flames' goalie. We can imagine that teams who don't get him will fall back on free agents like Linus Ullmark or Ilya Samsonov.
