Chicago Blackhawks to Host the Detroit Red Wings Sunday
The Chicago Blackhawks and the Detroit Red Wings face off for the second time this season on Sunday. In their first meeting on November 30th, the Wings won 5-1 at home against the Blackhawks. Bedard logged one assist in the loss. Their next meeting comes with significantly different circumstances.
Kane signed a one-year, $2.75 million contract with the Detroit Red Wings on November 28th and played his first game on December 7th against the San Jose Sharks. This was Kane's first game back after having hip surgery during the off-season. Since his NHL return, Kane has 23 points in 24 games played.
Kane was drafted first overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 2007 and Bedard echoed Kane's start by being drafted first overall by the Blackhawks in 2023. In Kane's return to Chicago, a video tribute is planned to honor the star. Here's what Bedard has to say about that:
«I'm just pumped for the video tribute. I think it's gonna be nasty. He had some sick highlights here. I've watched every one of his mixtapes 100 times.»
It is truly a full-circle moment for Bedard who, without a doubt, grew up watching and Idolizing Kane while he played for the Chicago Blackhawks. The teams play On Sunday at 6 pm EST.
