Colorado Avalanche and Winnipeg Jets fans got treated to an absolute show on Sunday night in game one of the series with a 7-6 game while six goals were scored in the first period at the Canada Life Centre. However, if you are the Colorado Avalanche right now, you can't help to wonder, will Alexander Georgiev get it together? And did the Avalanche mess up by not shopping for a goalie at the NHL trade deadline?

On the weeks leading up to the deadline, many suggested that the Colorado Avalanche were missing a goalie for the playoffs as many thought Alexander Georgiev wouldn't cut it. Whether it was a 1b or a backup, the Avalanche failed to capitalize given the market. Many goalies were available such as Jake Allen, Kaapo Kakkonen, Linus Ullmark, Jacob Markstrom, etc.

In February, Avs reporter linked Jake Allen to the Colorado Avalanche.

Evidently, Jake Allen ended up getting traded to the New Jersey Devils for a third round pick, and he absolutely killed it in Newark since his arrival.

Georgiev let in 7 goals on 23 shots last night, in a match where his team managed to put 6 goals passed Connor Hellebuyck yet they still lost! Now would be a good time to have themselves a Jake Allen or a Kaapo Kakkonen, as they would most definitely insert them for a crucial game number two in the hostile Canada Life Centre.
