Columbus Blue Jackets give an update on Patrik Laine

Blue Jackets provide update on Patrik Laine
It was January 28th when the bombshell of news came out regarding Patrik Laine who entered the NHL's Player Assistance program and never came back to the NHL ice. Laine gives reasons behind entering NHL PA
"The National Hockey League Players' Association and National Hockey League announced today that forward Patrik Laine of the Columbus Blue Jackets will be unavailable to his Club for an indefinite period while he receives care from the Player Assistance Program of the NHLPA and NHL."
Unfortunately despite everyone's hopes of Laine returning on the ice, it was announced by a Blue Jackets reporter that the Finnish player will not return to the Blue Jackets in the 2023-24 NHL season.
"John Davidson told Aaron Portzline of The Athletic that «[Patrik Laine] won't be back this season."
It would have been nice to see the former 2nd overall draft pick in 2016 back on the ice in the Blue Jackets uniform to give something to look forward to for the already defeated fans of Columbus. Patrik Laine receives immense support from fans
Here's to hoping Laine will come back stronger in the 2024-25 NHL season.
