Multiple teams linked to 2020 2nd overall pick Kaapo Kakko
2020 2nd overall pick Kaapo Kakko has been linked to many teams who are interested in acquiring his services.
Jacob Punturi of Sports Illustrated has provided some big news in the NHL world today, as it appears that multiple teams are making a heavy push to acquire New York Rangers forward Kaapo Kakko. The three teams currently with the best odds of landing Kakko are the Flames, Penguins and Sharks.

Kakko is only 23 years old, and is a fantastic two-way forward who is very responsible defensively. The Sharks, Flames and Penguins are all teams who failed to make the playoffs last season and could definitely use a player like Kakko, who put up 13 goals and 19 points last season, all while maintaining a very solid +/- of +6. Perhaps a change of scenery can get his offensive numbers up a little.
Kaapo Kakko has been very good defensive winger for a few years already. But yeah, offensive game is not there.
The trade chatter around Kakko has been nonstop since the NHL draft, and it now appears that there are only three teams left in the race, who will all be fighting each other off the ice to seal this deal.
