The former NHLer is a native of Olds Alberta, but he is an avid Leafs fan nonetheless. He is just as passionate about the team as many fans, taking to social media to express his feelings about the team's performance in the playoffs this year. Specifically, he joined a podcast to call out Mitch Marner by name.
He continued to lay into Marner with posts on X, but he did give him credit for the goal he scored in game four. That being said, a single goal or nice assist here and there does not necessarily make up for the lack of effort he's shown throughout the series.
However, Marner was not the only subject of Rosehill's criticisms. He also called out Sheldon Keefe for being a bad coach. Specifically, he questioned his decision to play Ryan Reaves when the team was down two goals late in the game. Reaves is probably the worst player on the team in terms of creating offense.
After the game, the home crowd booed the Leafs as they exited the ice following the loss. Rosehill commented on this too, effectively joining them online by supporting the crowd with another post on X.
The Leafs will play game five against the Bruins tomorrow in Boston. It is a do-or-die game for the team as they face elimination yet again. Should they fall short, we could see some major offseason changes in Toronto.
