William Nylander missed game one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and now some of his teammates have given an update on his intriguing situation.
After playing in all 82 games of the regular season, William Nylander mysteriously missed practice on Friday, before failing to compete in the teams 5-1 loss to the Boston Bruins on Saturday night. We're yet to hear from Sheldon Keefe about the situation, but now, some teammates of Nylander's have commented on his situation.
McCabe re Nylander: He seemed to be in good spirits today. Not going to speak too much on it.
Ryan Reaves on William Nylander: I don't know what his status is, hopefully he's ready to go. Neither Reaves nor McCabe gave official updates on Nylander, it appears they are both positive about his situation, and after the game one loss, he's likely to try and push himself towards a return. On Sunday, Nylander took to the ice in an optional skate for the first time since Wednesday's regular season finale, and with the Leafs down 1-0 in the series, there's a great chance we see him in game two against Boston.
