Brock Boeser was on the receiving end of a brutal hit from Tanner Jeannot recently, but now fears over his health have been alleviated after a recent update from Head Coach Rick Tocchet.

The Vancouver Canucks have been off to another great start thus far in 2024/25, and with a 7-3-3 record through 13 games, there's no doubt that they could be Stanley Cup contenders once again. However, one thing that threatens to derail that is potential injuries, with one suffered recently during their heated battle against the Los Angeles Kings as a result of a very dirty hit.

That night it was Brock Boeser who went down after a brutal Tanner Jeannot hit him straight to the head, resulting in a suspension for the veteran forward. Now, there's been an update on his situation, and given Boeser's injury history, it's safe to say that this is incredible news.

According to Head Coach Rick Tocchet, Boeser is currently being considered day-to-day, and while that doesn't mean he'll be back on the ice in the next day or two, it's certainly a positive that he's not headed to Injured Reserve.

«These things change. They could change in a week or 24 hours, I don't know," Tocchet said regarding Boeser's status just this past weekend.

After years of struggling to break out into the star that most in Vancouver believed he could be, Boeser put together a career year a season ago, and with so much momentum, he comes into 2024/25 full of expectations. In 12 games this season, Boeser has posted a solid 6 goals and 11 points, and with the 27-year-old meaning so much to their Stanley Cup hopes this season, the Canucks will be delighted that he's not suffered a major injury as a result of the careless hit.
