Vancouver Canucks management reportedly upset with Elias Pettersson
After the Vancouver Canucks round two loss to the Edmonton Oilers, Elias Pettersson blamed his struggles on a knee injury which upset Canucks management.
The 2024 playoffs were one to forget for Elias Pettersson. After struggling for the latter half of the season, Pettersson failed to be an impact player for the Vancouver Canucks in the playoffs scoring only six points in 13 games.
During the end-of-season exit interviews, Pettersson revealed he was struggling with a knee injury and that held him back in the playoffs.
Elias Pettersson's knee injury helps explain his struggles in the second half of the season and playoffs.
Recently Frank Seravalli offered some insight into how the Canucks management reacted to Pettersson blaming his injury for his struggles.
Seravalli on Canucks:
I think they were, jaws on the ground, floored to hear Pettersson try to blame part of his issues and play in the 2nd half of the season on the knee.
Hopefully the Canucks and Pettersson are able to smooth things out ahead of the 2024-25 campaign as Pettersson is expected to be one of the Canucks best players moving forward.
