The Vancouver Canucks came up short in their chase for a Stanley Cup in 2024, and now they've parted ways with a key member of their coaching staff.
Despite a promising season from the Canucks, it all went down in Flames against a Pacific Division rival, and things haven't been going well since. The team are reportedly set to lose out on free agent Elias Lindholm, and now they've reportedly agreed to part ways with assistant Mike Yeo, the team announced on social media.
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has mutually parted ways with Assistant Coach, Mike Yeo.
The organization would like to thank Mike for all his work the past two seasons.
Yeo came to the Canucks two seasons ago, and was a key part of the building blocks of this successful team, but now the 50-year old is set to explore other options.
He's been with the Minnesota Wild, St. Louis Blues and Philadelphia Flyers throughout his career, making himself a very valuable asset along the way, so now we will see the interesting move the Canucks make to replace Yeo.
