It became a tradition to hear about teams going far in their interviews at the combine. As they prepare to choose the players who'll be a part of the future of their organization at the draft, teams want to make sure they get the best player available. In order to do so, they want to know them as much as possible, explaining the thorough interview process.
Once again this year, a few prospects revealed some of the questions that they had to answer in their interviews, and it's not surprising to learn that some of them are way out there.
First-round prospect Zayne Parekh said that a team asked what his Snapchat score and Uber rating were:
Cole Hutson said that the Montreal Canadiens asked him what animal they could identify with:
The Colorado Avalanche played board games with prospects:
The Nashville Predators asked prospects what they would do if they were drafted in the war:
It's great to see teams trying to revamp their interviews with these methods. However, with all 32 teams doing so, concerns emerged about how prospects were truly themselves in such interviews.
