Tonight the first big brawl of the season has gone down between the New York Rangers and Boston BruinsBoston Bruins
TheNational Hockey League preseason is often more laid back than the regular season but tonight that was not the case between the New York Rangers and Boston Bruins. A massive brawl broke out including Mark Kastelic, Victor Mancini, Brennan Othmann, and Parker Wotherspoon.
The brawl went down in front of the New York Rangers net as the second period expired with the score tied 2-2.
This is likely the first of many fights we will see this season involving these two teams. The Bruins have players like Brad Marchand who aren't afraid to get into physical altercations. Then of course the Rangers have Matt Rempe the most notable up-and-coming enforcer in the NHL.
The New York Rangers would eventually come out on top after a third-period goal from Alex Belzile assisted by Filip Chytil
As the season gets going it will be fun to see if these teams keep up the physical nature of play and enhance their rivalry the next time they meet.
