The hockey world suffered a massive loss when Adam Johnson passed away due to a terrible accident. Since his passing one of his former teams has honored him.
Penguins Honor Johnson With Tearjerking Gesture
The Pittsburgh Penguins announced on X that they will be honoring Adam Johnson for the rest of the season. They will be doing so by wearing an 'AJ47' decal on their helmets.
Honoring and remembering
Tonight the Penguins will wear an �AJ 47' decal on their helmets for their former teammate, Adam Johnson.
There will be a pre-game ceremony and celebration of life after warmups.
The rest of the hockey world has also joined the Penguins in honoring Johnson in various ways.
Hockey World Comes Together To Honor Johnson
Beyond the Penguins season-long tribute other organizations have done one-time tributes as well. The Ontario Reign one of Johnson's former teams named him the first star of their game.
Former teammate of Adam Johnson Sidney Crosby also honored him with an emotional tribute to Johnson's family.
These tributes have all been respectful and moving from the people and places that Johnson impacted the most during his life. His impact continues to be felt even after his passing all over the world.
