You have to admit NHL players have a heart of gold. Most would give you the jersey off their backs, sticks out of their hands or even pucks or a sweet selfie with their favorite player.
But one player you can can never question has a heart of gold is Washington Capitals forward the Great 8 Alex Ovechkin.
Before the game last night against the Coyotes, Alex Ovechkin gifted an 8 year old Ovechkin fan named Conrad a hockey stick. Conrad is suffering from epilepsy according to his mother, so getting this stick from his favourite player had to make the little guy feel special.
To top it off, the Capitals beat the Coyotes 2-0 as the Washington Capitals look to take another run at the Stanley cup.
