Unfortunately for the National Hockey League, they cannot control the weather.
We have seen a few games already postponed this season for reasons like a winter storm in Buffalo or some water leaking in Nashville.
There is a big storm going through Ontario, Canada right now and it has already affected a game in Buffalo, but now we are seeing another team get affected.
It has just been announced that tomorrow's game between the Ottawa Senators and Detroit Red Wings has now been postponed:
NHL Gafme No. 534 on Friday, Dec 23 between the Detroit Red Wings and the Ottawa Senators at CAnadian tire Centre has been postponed and rescheduled to Monday, Feb 27 at 7:00PM EST, due to severe winter weather expected to impact the area
Luckily, for Alexander Ovechkin though, tonight's game against the Senators is not cancelled and he gets another shot at passing Gordie Howe on the all-time goals list.
