MUST WATCH: Shane Wright Scores .. ON HIS OWN NET! (video)
It wasn't too long ago now that the Montreal Canadiens passed on Shane Wright with the first overall pick, which then he slid all the way to 4th, where the Seattle Kraken selected him.
After a rough start to his NHL career, he was sent to the AHL where he lit it up, scoring almost a goal per game. He then came back to the NHL for a game against the Montreal Canadiens, where he got his revenge, scoring his first NHL goal against them.
The Kraken loaned Shane Wright to Team Canada for the World Juniors, where he was named captain.
In a pre-tournament game against Slovakia, Wright did what no player is ever supposed to do, which is throw it infront of your own net, which in this case it got even worse as it bounced off the goalie into their own net!
