BREAKING: Antti Raanta Is Heading To Chicago
Carolina Hurricanes goaltender Antti Raanta has cleared waivers and is now being assigned to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.
Raanta Assigned To The Chicago Wolves
Yesterday, the Carolina Hurricanes placed goaltender Antti Raanta on waivers. It was unknown if he would get claimed or not but today it was revealed that he cleared waivers.
The Hurricanes have now made a decision on where they want Raanta to play.
The #Canes have reassigned Antti Raanta to the Chicago Wolves.
The Chicago Wolves were the Hurricanes AHL affiliate last year but disagreements have meant the two organizations no longer have an official partnership.
Despite this, there are still some Hurricanes-affiliated players like Raanta who play for the Wolves. Hopefully, Raanta is able to find his footing in the AHL and then return to the NHL with a newfound confidence.
