BREAKING: Bruins Star Suspended For Four Games
The Boston Bruins will be without one of their star players following a four-game suspension.
McAvoy Suspended For Four Games
Last night star defenseman Charlie McAvoy laid a dirty hit on Panthers defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson that resulted in a five-minute penalty and an ejection.
It has just been announced that the league will take further action by suspending him for four games.
Boston's Charlie McAvoy has been suspended for four games for an Illegal Check to the Head on Florida's Oliver Ekman-Larsson.
While four may seem like a lot, it seems quite fair given the precedent the NHL has set for its players this season and their tolerance for hits to the head.
McAvoy will lose hundreds of thousands in fines as a result of the play and that money will be donated by the NHL DOPS.
