Alex Galchenyuk was drafted 3rd overall by the Montreal Canadiens back in 2012, and in his first 4 seasons with the team it really looked like he was emerging as a super star, especially in 2015-16 when he put up 30 goals and 56 points.
Unfortunately though there has been quite a bit of talk about his lack of drive and it's caused him to get moved around quite a bit through his career.
He has played on 6 different NHL teams during his career, and is now getting to play on his 7th.
Galchenyuk signed a PTO with the Colorado Avalanche in the offseason, but was released after getting injured.
Just a few weeks ago he signed a contract to play with the Colorado Eagles where he scored 3 goals and 7 points in 7 games.
Looks like the Avalanche like what they say in the former top prospect and have signed him to come play with the big club.
We have agreed to terms with forward Alex Galchenyuk for a one-year contract for the remainder of the 2022-23 season.#GoAvsGo pic.twitter.com/OSpLLy6KSe Colorado Avalanche (@Avalanche) November 28, 2022
