Max Pacioretty's future in the NHL is uncertain after a terrible update from Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery.

Pacioretty To Miss Substantial Time

Recently, Spencer Carbery spoke on Max Pacioretty and revealed some terrible news for his future in the NHL.

"I'm not sure of the exact timeline," admitted Carbery as per NHL.com "I don't think he'll be ready for the start of the regular season. But whether it's in the November timeframe or December, whenever he's healthy and ready to go, I think it gives us a great asset in Max to be able to, partway into the season, potentially give us a real jolt offensively in our top six, someone who can help us on the power play, someone who has proven time and time again that they can find ways to score, which is something that is coveted around the League."

Pacioretty sustained this injury he is recovering from back in January and it is not looking like he is coming back anytime soon.

Pacioretty is known for his prolific goal scoring but if he is unable to return 100%, he will risk reinjuring himself and may have to call it a career. This achilles recovery is taking longer than his previous one which could be a sign of him being more cautious or it could be him struggling more with the recovery.

As seen on HockeyFeed - Capitals share disappointing update on Pacioretty.
