BREAKING: Michael Bunting is SUSPENDED!
Last night the Toronto Maple Leafs played the Tampa Bay Lightning in what turned into a frustrating start to the playoffs for the Maple Leafs.
Just 2 minutes into the game, the Lightning 4th line scored the series opening goal, and they never looked back from there.
In the second period, Erik Cernak received an interference penalty for hitting Michael Bunting after the whistle, and later in the period, Bunting returned the favour, but took it a little too far.
Bunting delivered a head shot to an unsuspecting Cernak, which got Bunting a match penalty and a meeting with the Department of Player Safety today.
