Matt Kalman, is a Boston area freelance writer who often writes about the Boston Bruins. After last night's 7-0 victory over the LA Kings, he sent out a Tweet questioning David Krejci's decision to return home to the Czech Republic. Kalman sent out the following Tweet:
Krejci, played 15 seasons with the Bruins and was an unrestricted free agent at the time of him departing for home. Brad Marchand is known for being a great teammate and in classic Marchand fashion he took to Twitter to defend his teammate and friend.
Absolutely not.. yah we would love to have him, but he's earned the right to play in front of his family and friends.
It seems unfathomable that someone would feel a player like Krejci deserves anything but praise after spending his entire career with one team. Especially when the only reason he departed was to play closer to home so he could be with his family.
