Following their overtime loss in game four, the Golden Knights returned home on Saturday night for game five, presented with a golden opportunity to eliminate the Dallas Stars and advance to the Stanley Cup final against the Florida Panthers.

Regrettably, the evening did not play out as the Golden Knights had hoped. Stars' forward Ty Dellandrea scored two goals, only 1:27 apart, propelling the Stars to a 4-2 lead. This scoreline would remain unchanged, with the Golden Knights unable to bypass Stars' goaltender Jake Oettinger.

After the match, Golden Knights' head coach Bruce Cassidy, who's typically not known to single out or criticize his players, made an unusual comment about goaltender Adin Hill, specifically regarding the winning goal.

"Not a great goal, probably the first one from Adin all playoffs that he'd want back. But we've got to go pick him up." -Bruce Cassidy

Despite the criticism, it's worth noting that Hill had his fair share of impressive saves during the match. While he could arguably have stopped the third goal, Coach Cassidy might be better served focusing on rebuilding Hill's confidence.

Now, with the series poised at 3-2 and moving back to Dallas, a crucial question emerges: what will Cassidy's strategy be? Many fans are still puzzled as to why Jonathan Quick, who has two Stanley Cup victories to his name, has been sitting on the sidelines, smashing hot dogs with Phil Kessel, in favor of Hill.

Will Cassidy decide to deploy Quick for game six? Or will he stay loyal to Hill, who has performed admirably since replacing Laurent Brossoit? We'll have to wait and see...
