When you think of the Chicago Blackhawks you think of Patrick Kane and their captain Johnathan Toews, but after a recent trade that apparently "shocked the team". You have to wonder, could Kane or Toews be on the move next?
The 33-year-old, nicknamed Captain Serious, has been with the Chicago Blackhawks since being drafted 3rd Overall in 2006. After the Blackhawks recent trade, apparently it gad Toews contemplating his future with the team.
The Blackhawks traded Brandon Hagel to the 2-time defending Stanley Cup Champions Tampa Bay Lightning.
After that trade Toews was clearly unhappy saying:
If a player like Hagel isn't part of a rebuild I don't know what is. I don't know if anyone feels safe on the team right now.
He also told the media after the Hagel trade. Toews described the Blackhawks as:
A team that's lost its Identity.
Toews and Kane were part of a dynasty with the Blackhawks winning 3 Stanley Cups, but the Chicago Blackhawks are far from that dynasty sitting 7th in the Central division and are nowhere close to the team they use to be.
