The Chicago Blackhawks after a disappointing season have taken a new direction under their new General Manager Kyle Davidson. It was announced around the trade deadline that the Blackhawks would be entering a rebuild.

We have already seen a few names get traded out, but it's not expected to stop there. Players like Toews and Kane who are the heart and soul of the Blackhawks have been rumoured to be unhappy with the direction, and with just one year remaining on their current deals, could be on there way out also.

A surprising name that has been thrown around lately is Alex Debrincat, who at just the age of 24 is already a 2 time 40 goal scorer, but apparently he is not in the teams future plans.

The team has a few big name RFA's currently and apparently they will be letting them walk:

Thats right, Dylan Strome, former 3rd overall pick, who just turned 25 and put up 22 goals 48 points in 69 games last season will be walking in free agency for NOTHING. As well as 26 year old Dominik Kubalik who scored 30 goals in his rookie season.

Considering their RFA status, you'd think the team would atleast want to try and trade to bring back a return, but it sounds like the Hawks have 0 interest in the possibility of them returning for next season.

Guess they really are trying to tank for Connor Bedard?
