With major news coming out that former Blackhawk and future Hall of Famer Patrick Kane has signed a new deal with the Detroit Red Wings, current face of the Blackhaws, Bedard has released his comments on the Kane signing.
Bedard's Comments Regarding Patrick Kane Joining the Red Wings
With all the questions around Kane on his destination for the season finally being answered, as he joins former Blackhawk teammate, Alex DeBrincat in Motor city.
All eyes shift to the reaction from the league and Connor Bedard just had his thoughts about the signing revealed.
Connor Bedard on Patrick Kane signing with Detroit: "It's cool that he and DeBrincat will be back together. I'm sure they'll be a pretty exciting duo, so excited to watch." #Blackhawks
With slight rumblings that a reunion in Chicago could be in the cards for Kane, the thought of what a duo of Bedard and Kane could do gave many Blackhawks fans something to wish for.
However Kane still wants to win another cup and Detroit just became that much closer.
Detroit's New Lethal Top 6, That May Push Them Into The Playoffs
The current top six of the Red Wings has gotten them off to a hot start and have them sitting third in the Atlantic division with a record of 11-6-3.
That top six looks like this:
DeBrincat - Larkin - Raymond
Berggren - Copp - Fabri
That top line especially DeBrincat has been doing a large amount of the offence for the team. Now you add in Patrick Kane who last time he was paired up with DeBrincat did some magical things in Chicago.
Their new top six could look something like this:
DeBrincat - Larkin - Kane
Berggren - Copp - Raymond
This now makes another team in the Atlantic division have a star powered top six, making the East that much more dangerous come playoff time.
