The NHL Department of Player Safety continues it's uneven response to player safety. Last night Penguins Brock McGinn hit Capitals Martin Fehérváry with a high hit. Today it was announced that McGinn would not receive a hearing for the high hit.
Fehérváry was hurt on the play, left the game and did not return.
This is the second time this season that Fehérváry has been involved with a dangerous hit by a Pittsburgh Penguin. Earlier this season Fehérváry was thrown into the boards by Sidney Crosby and there was no penalty or punishment on the play.
