Pierre-Luc Dubois has come under scrutiny for his effort time and time again and now one of his former teammates has come forward and demolished his character.

Former Teammate Fires Shots At Dubois

Last offseason, the Winnipeg Jets and LA Kings brokered a massive trade that sent Pierre-Luc Dubois to California in exchange for Gabe Vilardi, Alex Iafallo, Rasmus Kupari, and a pick.

The two teams are now heading in opposite directions with the Jets skyrocketing to the top of the NHL while the Kings are struggling for a playoff spot. A large part of the Jets' success is total buy-in from all of their players.

Goaltender Connor Hellebuyck confided in head coach Rick Bowness on the trade with the Kings and he seems awfully happy.

"[Connor] told me he was very happy with the trade we made with the Kings," mentioned Bowness, "He wanted to make sure we were invested in the mission to win a Stanley Cup.

We completed the transaction, and [Connor] saw that we made good moves. Our team is better, and we have a chance to win. I think that had more significance than anything else." - Rick Bowness

Dubois' Struggles In LA

Since Dubois went to LA, he has struggled greatly scoring only 20 points through 48 games. He is producing at a career low at the moment and has taken a massive step back. Fans have been quick to point out his lack of effort which seems apparent every night.

Now if Dubois wants to turn his career around, it will require a major mindset change and that may not happen with Dubois being 25 years old.
