The Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins have a rivalry dating back decades and now the Bruins have continued to embarrass the Leafs at the all-star game.

Montgomery Embarrasses Keefe

This past weekend the NHL hosted its annual all-star game where the best players from all around the league gathered in Toronto to compete. While the best players come together, the best coaches do so as well and this years representative for the Atlantic division was Bruins coach Jim Montgomery.

Montgomery was coaching many familiar faces including four Toronto Maple Leafs: Mitch Marner, Auston Matthews, William Nylander, and Morgan Rielly.

It only took one game for Montgomery to do something that has taken Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe years to do: split up Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.

"Coach Jim Montgomery on splitting Matthews and Marner for the championship game: «Well, one line was minus-3 in the first game."

Fans were quick to get on to Keefe's tail for this.

Keefe should take notes!!!

best coach toronto has had since pat quinn

Maybe he can give some coaching tips to Keefe.

Our coach has been struggling with this for five years and he figured it out in minutes

With Montgomery coming into the Leafs barn, splitting Matthews and Marner up, and then being praised by Leafs fans surely is embarrassing for Keefe.

With Team Matthews winning the all-star game, maybe Keefe should take some notes as the Leafs could use a boost in the Standings.

As seen on Hockey Patrol - Montgomery humiliates Keefe by using the right tactics with Matthews and Marner
