Former NHLer Kevin Bieksa Calls Out The Dirtiest Player In The NHL By Name
The NHL is full of questionable players who have reputations for making dirty plays. One of those players just got called out by a former player on the biggest stage in Hockey in Canada.
Bieksa Calls Out Cousins For Dirty Plays On Hockey Night In Canada
Getting called out by Kevin Bieksa on Hockey Night in Canada is no small thing. now Nick Cousins knows how it feels as the former NHLer laid into him for his history of questionable hits.
Kevin Bieksa went OFF on Nick Cousins during Hockey Night in Canada 😳🔥
"I've never done this before, but I have to do it because this is a trend with this player, and he's done this numerous amount of times, ramming a guy's head into the boards; the hit earlier in the year on Gudbranson, this was Scheifele last year, like there's no place in the game for this.
This discussion comes after Jason Zucker was suspended for three games for a play that was in retaliation to a hit Cousins made on Jusso Valimaki. Fans have already pointed out the inconsistencies in the rulings from the league regarding these kinds of plays.
Nazem Kadri got a three-game suspension during the playoffs for doing almost exactly what Nick Cousins did to Jusso Valimaki.
No hearing for that is just absurd. At this point, the NHL Department of Player Safety is regarded as one of the least effective in all of professional sports. It seems as though the department needs a sweeping change in personnel before we can actually see progress being made for player safety in the NHL, at least on the accountability side of things.
