The ratings for the last game of the Stanley Cup Finals are in. For the first year on TNT, ESPN and ABC, the numbers are extremely disappointing. With only 2.72 million viewers, it's the least-watched final in almost 30 years.
In the NHL, the marketing has been an issue for a long time. They've failed to attract new fans and keep them interested for three hours when you can just look at hightlights after.

Recently, the NHL refused to collaborate with the XXXX boys and White came in to defend the youtubers.
Contrary to the NHL, Dana White knows how to attract new fans and has a flair for marketing.
"F*ck 'em. They're all old, dumb fucking people that have no idea what's going on. Where this younger generation is, where they're going, how you reach 'em, all that shit. It's all old, dumb fucking journalists."
