Last night, during the Canucks-Islanders game, hockey history was made in an interesting way after an insane goal by this Vancouver Canuck.

Hronek Breaks Record During Last Nights Game

During Last night's game against the New York Islanders, Filip Hronek scored his first goal of the season. The goal was more than just his first, though, as it broke the record for hardest recorded shot in an NHL game.

1️⃣0️⃣7️⃣.9️⃣ MPH from Filip Hronek❗️

A 107.9 MPH clapper is nearly unheard of. Close to the #FrkBomb, the hardest shot ever recorded in hockey history.

While some harder shots have been recorded during the hardest shot skills competition, this feat is more impressive because it was during an active game. What's more, is that it led to a goal.

Hronek and Canucks Continue Impressive Season

While Filip Hronek's goal was the first of the season for the defenseman, he has tallied an impressive 16 assists already this season for 17 points in 16 games. This goes along with Vancouvers' impressive success this season, sitting atop the standings with a 12-3-1 record.

Vancouver topped off Hronek's historical goal with a win last night against the Islanders in overtime, 4-3.
