Ever since the Chicago Blackhawks declared they were entering a rebuild, the phone has been ringing off the hook for players. One of those players in particular is Alex Debrincat who is already a 2 time 40 goal scorer and is only 24 years old.

The Blackhawks apparently have a very high asking price for Debrincat, which is multiple first round picks and a young prospect who can potentially play as soon as next season.

On Thursday, Elliotte Friedman reported that the Hawks have already turned down a massive trade from a rival team for Debrincat, which he announced on Sirius XM's NHL radio with Mick Kern and Peter Bruce.

«There's at least one team I am working on today that has made a pretty big offer for DeBrincat, which, if it's true, included at least a couple of first-rounders. One of them would have been pretty high, and I heard that Chicago wouldn't do that. So, I'm very curious to see what it's going to take to get DeBrincat out of there.»

We know that the Flyers were very interested in Debrincat, but besides the 2010 Stanley Cup, I dont know if they would be considered a rival, not only are they not the same division, but not even the same conference.

The teams that have apparently showed the most interest have been the New Jersey Devils, Philadelphia Flyers, Ottawa Senators, New York Islanders and Los Angeles Kings.

With the Kings acquiring Kevin Fiala, that may take them out of the running, but they must be the team that made the offer as they're the only Western Conference team.
