For weeks we've been hearing about Russian players in Russia trying to get out and one of the major stories was of Minnesota Wild's star Kirill Kaprizov and his difficulty getting out of Russia, which apparently it's been greatly exaggerated. Atleast, according to his agent in an interview he did with Sports24.ru
It seems stories of Minnesota Wild star Kirill Kaprizov's difficulty getting out of Russia have been greatly exaggerated. That's according to his agent in an interview with Sport24.ru.
What's being hyped right now is not true, He had surgery 10 days ago and there is a rehabilitation process after that. I understand he is rehabbing in Germany. It will take about two to three weeks, and then he moves to America, works out with the local doctors and gets ready for the season.

As for the rumours that Kaprizov had made a fake military certificate to get him out of service in the Russian armed forces, according to his agent everything is in order.
Theofanous also stated:
"He's a student, he has a military deferment, he has a certificate that allows him not to serve. He hasn't violated anything. He has no worries."
These concerns all arose after several players like Philadelphia Flyers prospect Ivan Fedotov was arrested for holding fake exemptions for Russia's military mandatory service.
That's when it all arose that Kaprizov was also having these fake exemptions as well.
