With the Toronto Maple Leafs going though yet another earlier than hoped for exit from the Stanley Cup Playoffs, all discussion has turned to what the team needs to do to get better results. That comes with a lot of speculation on Toronto's big names (Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner, William Nylander, and John Tavares) and whether they should, or will be around next season. Gm Kyle Dubas was asked about the possibility of a blockbuster trade today during an end of season interview, and didn't sound at all opposed to it.

"On potentially trading one of the Core Four or a seismic roster move this summer, Dubas pointed toward #Florida Panthers' calculated [Matthew] Tkachuk trade last summer. 'I wouldn't take anything off the table at all.'" - Frank Seravalli

"Kyle Dubas says he's 'interested in doing anything' with the Leafs roster this summer following a thorough evaluation. 'I would take nothing off the table at all.'

Who Will Make the Changes?

Dubas saying nothing is off the table may not matter if he's not the one in charge of making moves any longer. The GM's contract runs out in June and an extension has yet to be signed. Despite rumours of other teams being interested, Dubas said it's Toronto or nowhere.
