During the 3rd period of tonight's Leafs versus Sabres game, Auston Matthews got involved in front of the net with Rasmus Dahlin of the Sabres.
During the scrum both players traded cross checks, but Matthews then cross checked the head and neck area of Dahlin.
Matthews has never been suspended or fined by the NHL, but this is likely to be his first.
The league has already announced they'll be investigating the crosscheck.
