The Vancouver Canucks continue to be surrounded by conflict involving star forwards J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson.
Over the last couple of months, reports have come out of the locker room that have indicated Miller has been too hard on Pettersson leading him to shut down in frustration.
The intensity of Miller throughout his career has been well known and to this point in his career had been something to be admired by former teammates and coaches.
However, it seems that in the case of Pettersson, things did not click properly with many claiming that Pettersson does not respond well to that type of criticism.
Now this evening a report from analyst Jay Rosehill has revealed that J.T. Miller is very similar to former Maple Leaf Dion Phaneuf who found himself in trouble for similar problems.
During an episode of Leafs Morning Take NHL analyst Jay Rosehill spoke about the conflict between Miller and Pettersson.
Rosehill revealed that Dion Phaneuf would go after players in the locker room and push them.
If a player did not respond well to that challenge instead of backing off Phaneuf would dig in and push even further sometimes crossing a line.
Rosehill reveals that this is what he believes could've happened between Miller and Pettersson with Miller pushing too far and creating an unfixable situation.
Now with the damage done, it seems like the Canucks are heading toward a situation where either Miller or Pettersson has to go before the end of this season.
