Over the past few weeks, the drama in Vancouver has reached fever pitch with the public feud between Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller, and now it appears to be a matter of when not if a blockbuster deal is made.
Now, it has been revealed that Kyle Dubas (Pittsburgh), Bill Armstrong (Utah), and Don Sweeney (Boston) have all been spotted at the latest game of the Abbotsford Canucks, the AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, seemingly scouting for a potentially huge trade.
Thus far, we've seen Elias Pettersson linked to the Buffalo Sabres and J.T. Miller linked to the New York Rangers, and while the team is reportedly listening to offers on both players, no concrete conversations have yet been made public.
On top of that, the Canucks were doing battle with the Laval Rocket, the AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, who are a team to watch on the trade market this season, meaning that with two months until the deadline, things could be heating up soon.
This story is all about the Canucks however, as one of Pettersson or Miller is likely to be traded, with reports that other people in the organization are being heavily affected by the way their feud has played out in the last few weeks in the public eye.
Only time will tell if a blockbuster deal is going to happen, but if the team brings the right price to the table, it may be wise for Patrik Allvin and the team to pull the trigger on a deal, and given the talent of the two players, there's going to be plenty of interest league-wide.
