MAJOR: Flyers Lose Their Best Player
The Philadelphia Flyers have lost their best player and fans are worried it will be long-term.
Flyers Lose Konecny
Travis Konecny, the leader in points and goals for the Flyers last season, missed practice today due to being "banged up".
Travis Konecny missed practice this morning. He's described as being "banged up", but it's not considered serious.

Thankfully, it seems like the Flyers are being precautionary. Konecny scored 31 goals and tacked on 61 total points in 60 games leading the Flyers. There is speculation that he could be traded soon given his relatively cheap cap hit and his high production.
The Flyers will look to start the season with Konecny and have him play alongside Sean Couturier, who missed all of last season, in hopes of forming a dynamic first line yet again.
Nonetheless, if Konecny does miss any substantial time this year, the Flyers longshot playoff hopes could be downgraded to nonexistent playoff hopes.
