The NHL world has been buzzing about the arrival of Connor Bedard this summer, and now, after some big-time pre-season performances, he may have been humbled in Chicago's latest game.
A veteran play
After yet another solid performance against Minnesota, Bedard got his first shot on the shootout in the NHL, and opposing him was one of the modern-day great goaltenders in Marc-Andre Fleury.
Bedard tried his best for a skillful finish, but much to his disdain, Fleury beat him to the punch, tripping him up and stopping any chance of scoring, showing him that these veteran goaltenders aren't easy to beat.
Unlimited talent
Despite this, Bedard still has all the talent in the world and is expected to be another star for the Chicago Blackhawks, with so much talent, eyes will be on him all season long.
Unsurprisingly, that means other veterans like MAF will be looking to take it to the young star, so while many highlights are expected, we could see plenty of moments like this in 2023-24 as well.
