The San Jose Sharks have claimed Jonah Gadjovich off waivers from Vancouver Canucks.
All the players placed on waivers have been announced for the day and as teams look to get their rosters ready for the regular season. There are some bigger names expected to be placed on waivers in the coming days, but today's list is rather short.
Troy Grosenick (Boston), Brian Lashoff (Detroit), Ryan Murphy (Detroit), Andrew Hammond (Minnesota), Kyle Rau (Minnessota), A.J. Greer (New Jersey), Louis Domingue (Pittsburgh), Sam Anas (St. Louis), Charlie Lindgren (St. Louis), Calle Rosen (St. Louis), Steven Santini (St. Louis) and Nathan Walker (St. Louis).
With the Colorado Avalanche announcing that Pavel Francouz has sustained an injury that will keep him out of action for 3-4 weeks there is a chance the Avalanche might look at this list and take a flyer on a backup goaltender.
