This afternoon the National Hockey League made a statement regarding the Russian invasion going on in Ukraine. The statement was that effective immediately all relationships with Russian partners will be suspended.
Just over 5 percent of all NHL players currently playing are Russian. This morning player agent Dan Milstein stated that his Russian players have been receiving very real threats. In response to this, the NHL has announced it intends to increase up security.
We also remain concerned about the well-being of the players from Russia, who play in the NHL on behalf of their NHL Clubs, and not on behalf of Russia. We understand they and their families are being placed in an extremely difficult position.
